By paying attention you bring yourself into existence

How you see the people, places and circumstances around you is
a choice, a conscious choice you make. Countless times a day, your
brain takes in information regarding every encounter and you decide
exactly what to make of it. To make these decisions you rely
heavily on past experience, likes and dislikes, and feelings. And,
if you're like almost everyone else, you place a mental label on
every person and situation you encounter. It is that label that
helps form your perception of and reaction to every person, place
and thing in your life.
I am asking you, not to stop the labeling
process completely, but to limit yourself to one mental label for
every person, situation and thing. The label will always be the
same: GOOD. No matter who you meet or interact with, no matter what
circumstances and situations arise in your life, no matter where
you go or what you see; for the next 30 days, I want you to label
it good.

That can be a tall order, I know. We get pretty set in our way of
looking at things, and to be told we need to change and look at
everything the same way is a large pill to swallow. And if you've
been relying heavily on your own perceptions, the idea of letting
them go can even be unsettling.

Right now I'd like you to spend the next few minutes
looking around the room you are in. Realize that nothing in this
room is exactly as you have always perceived it to be. Pick out
five or six items in the room, preferably items you care little
about or those about which you've formed no opinion at all. Now
look at the item and say, "This is good." Don't spend much with
any one item. Just call it good and move on to the next, spending
no more than 30 or 40 seconds for the entire exercise. But make
certain that you pick several items and that with each one, you
call it good.

Once you've finished, sit back for a moment and think about being
surrounded by all this goodness. Realizing for the first time that
everything around you is good, can be a delicious experience if you
allow it to be. Contemplate this idea of living in this limitless
sea of goodness and then write down whatever thoughts pop in your
head in your new Blessing Way Journal.

Just play with the idea. Have fun with it. Laugh. Sing.
Dance. Let your spirit soar and the joy within your being free.
This is how you celebrate goodness. And you have so much goodness
to celebrate. You are surrounded by it.

Walk the Talk

There is a story about Naropa, an 11th century Indian yogi who was,
one day, approached by an old hag. Knowing him to be one of India's
greatest Buddhist teachers, she boldly asked him if he understood
all the words in the large book he was reading. He answered smugly
in the affirmative, and the old woman danced and laughed with glee.
Then she asked if he understood every instruction in the book, and
again, Naropa answered affirmatively. This time, however, the old
woman's face darkened with a scowl, and she flew into an immediate
rage, pointing a finger at him and accusing him of being a liar and
a hypocrite. It is said Naropa was forever changed by the encounter
because he inwardly knew he'd been "caught in the act." He did know
the words, this was true, and from this knowledge, he could teach,
and brilliantly so. But he had not yet wholly experienced the
teachings in his heart, and therefore, could not fully understand
that which he taught.

"I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing;
therefore, choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live."

Deuteronomy 30:19

Burning Desire

Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you were made to do. When the mind has once formed the habit of holding cheerful, happy, prosperous pictures, it will not be easy to form the opposite habit.

It does not matter how improbable or how far away this realization may seem, or how dark the prospects may be, if we visualize them as best we can, as vividly as possible, hold tenaciously to them and vigorously struggle to attain them, they will gradually become actualized, realized in the life. But a desire, a longing without endeavor, a yearning abandoned or held indifferently will vanish without realization.

It is only when desire is crystallized into resolve, however, that it is effective.

Think and say only that which you wish to become true.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the outline of the image itself; the real substance, not merely a mental image. What we believe is coming to us is a tremendous creative motive. Your whole thought current must be set in the direction of your life purpose.

Whatever comes to us in life, we create first in our mentality.

DO NOT FEAR POVERTY

Here is an article which will benefit you greatly in the coming year. Please share it with your friends and loved ones.

THE ROAD TO FINANCIAL FREEDOM

One of the keys to financial freedom is to create a "Golden Goose" where you can eventually live off the "eggs".

It was Aesop, who told a tale with a moral core in The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs. A man and his wife had the good fortune to possess a goose that laid a golden egg every day. For a while they were happy and lived well, but then they became impatient with how quickly they were accumulating their wealth. So they thought that if the goose could lay such a fine egg of gold, it must be lined with the precious metal. If they cut the goose open, they could get the gold all at once. Of course we all know what happened, the goose was just a goose and there was no gold inside. For Aesop, the moral of the story was much wants more and loses all. There is also a hidden message in this tale, - true gold comes from the process of creating.

Look after your Golden Goose. Never Mistake the Egg as the Gift. We have become a society that values things more than people. It is often joked, tongue-in-cheek that you are only as good as your last accomplishment. That is the ultimate lie. We are not a collection of the things that we do, the sale that we make, or the goal that is conquered. You are the gift. You are the Golden Goose. The egg is just the last thing you created.

Wherever you are right now in your life, please stop for a moment and hear this truth. The true gold lies not in the outcome or accomplishment, it is in the process of creating. When you give yourself a little space and care for the Golden Goose inside you, you will once again lay a golden egg. Don’t worry, there is nowhere to go, you have everything you need for the blissful life you desire. You just forgot where the true gold lives — inside of you.

Financial independence is a journey. And like any journey, if a person wants to travel from where they are to where they want to be, they need to know where they are starting from, where they want to be going, and the options of how to get there. And if they've never been there before, they need a map, even if it's only used as a reference for when they lose their way or the planned road is temporarily or permanently closed.

What people are looking for is a roadmap to prosperity. That roadmap will differ from family to family and individual to individual. Each family has its own situation, needs, values, priorities and definitions of financial freedom. Furthermore, families and individuals want to educate themselves in how money works without being dependent on their bank, their insurance agent, or even their financial adviser. They want to be able to make their own choices for their own journey. And most want "enlightened" financial freedom - to achieve abundance without compromising their integrity, their values, their happiness or their friends. They want to understand basic financial principles so that they can develop "golden eggs" from their own financial freedom "goose".

Happily, there is a ready-made formula to feed your Golden Goose to the point of rapid delivery of a magical stream of golden eggs through the creation of a "Prosperity Consciousness."

Prosperity Consciousness is based on the idea that our thoughts create the reality we see and experience on a daily basis. By using a specific set of tools, we can root out the negative thinking which is causing us to experience lack and transform our lives on all levels and attract a bounty of abundance.

STEPS ALONG THE WAY

1. Set aside at least twenty minutes a day to study and visualize your new life.

2. Buy a loose leaf binder and label it "Dreams Unlimited." This is where you will workshop the life you are creating for yourself and get clear on what you really want. This will be the place where you write your affirmations, make notes about the process, collect uplifting quotes, make collages of the things you are manifesting, and keep track of the things you accomplish.

3. Develop an affirmation for yourself based on what you are attempting to attract into your life. It should be present tense and contain only positive statements. An example would be "I am rich beyond my wildest dreams."

4. Write out your affirmation at least ten times a day and put it in your notebook. When you are tempted to dwell on the negative, repeat it silently over and over in your head while you take deep breaths.

5. Ignore the naysayers, dream killers, and negative people who tell you that it can't be done. If someone else has ever done it before, then you can too.

6. Spend a few quiet minutes every day breathing deeply and visualizing your goal as already completed. Picture exactly how you want it to be, but be willing to accept something better. Don't limit yourself.

7. Read books on creative visualization, prosperity consciousness, and positive thinking.

8. Live "as if." If a circumstance in your life is not how you want it, withdraw your attention from it. Whatever you focus on expands. Live as if all of your dreams are a reality now.

9. "Follow your bliss." Experience the joy life offers at every turn if you know how to look for it. Share your love where ever you can. Wear comfortable clothes in colors that you love. Drink a wonderful cup of tea and watch a sunset. Do only that which brings you joy.

10. Let it go. Trust that the Universe has heard your request and is doing everything It can to bring it about. Forget about it. Don't worry or fret. Live in the moment and watch how all of your needs are met. When you lose faith, call on your childlike resources and pretend.

SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY

* Whatever you focus on expands. Focus on the money you *do* have, the things you *do* know, the people who *do* love you, etc, and ignore the rest.

* You have only one life to live. Live it free of misery, negative ideas and people, and choose to take control of what you experience now.

* You have an infinite untapped power that will guide you and direct you if you allow it to.

* Trust your Inner Guide.

* Take quiet time every day.

* "You'll see it when you believe it." Let go of negative programming.

* The only limits that exist for you are the ones you create.

* The things you want will come to you when you are ready. If you are stressing and struggling you are literally pushing them away.

* Relax! ‘Working against the clock doesn't make for considered thought.’ ‘More haste, less speed.
